WeSpace privacy policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
WeSpace is a private place for one family. This page says what WeSpace keeps about you, why, who can see it, and how to have it deleted. If anything here is unclear, write to us.
Who looks after your data
JAGTEK sp. z o.o., ul. św. Filipa 23/3, 31-150 Kraków, Poland (KRS 0001030807), makes WeSpace and is responsible for the personal data in it (the "controller"). Write to us at sales@jagtek.pl about anything on this page.
WeSpace in short
- Only invited families can join, and each family's house is closed to everyone else.
- No ads and no tracking. We don't sell your data or share it for marketing, and nothing you share is used to train AI.
- You decide what you share, and you can delete it.
What WeSpace keeps
- Your house: the family name, its look, its house code, which house invited it, and its neighbour houses.
- Each person: the first name, the photo they choose, a birthday if they add one, their vibe, and whether they are the house's admin.
- What you share: messages, voice notes, photos, videos, drawings, the stickers you make, reactions, songs and karaoke clips, games and their results, gifts, and the videos you add to your family's Watch list.
- Notifications: if you allow them, your phone's notification address, so we can tell your phone that something new arrived.
- Problem reports you choose to send: your words, the app's version, your phone type and screen size, the screen you were on, and the last errors and requests. Never your messages, photos or private links. A report goes to your house's admin, who can pass it on to us.
We keep these to give your family WeSpace (our agreement with you: GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), and to keep it safe and working, for example with backups and limits against misuse (our legitimate interest: Article 6(1)(f)).
Who can see what
- Your family sees what is shared in the family room. A private chat is seen only by the two people in it.
- Neighbour houses (families your house is connected with) see your house's name and look, and only the people your admin chooses to show, with their name and photo. They can play games with those people and send them gifts. They never see your messages.
- Jagtek runs the server, so we can technically reach what is stored on it. We don't look at your messages, photos or recordings, except when it is needed to keep WeSpace working or safe, when you ask us to, or when the law requires it.
Everything travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Messages are not end-to-end encrypted: they are kept on our server, so that your family can see them on any phone.
Where it is kept
On our own server, rented from Hetzner Online GmbH (Gunzenhausen, Germany), in a data centre in Helsinki, Finland, inside the EU. Hetzner keeps the server running for us and handles the data only on our instructions, under a data processing agreement. A backup is made every night and kept for 14 days.
Two parts of WeSpace run on our own servers too, and keep nothing:
- The live voice in a karaoke night passes through our voice server as it happens, and is not recorded there. (A karaoke clip is recorded on the singer's phone and kept in your house like a voice note.)
- When you make a sticker from a photo, a small square of the photo goes to our server to find the people in it. Nothing is kept.
Other companies
Only these, and only for the parts that need them:
- YouTube (Google): Watch and Karaoke play YouTube videos inside WeSpace. When a video or its picture is shown, your phone gets it from YouTube, which then sees your internet address and which video it is, under Google's privacy policy. When you search for a video, our server sends the words to YouTube, without your name.
- Apple, Google or Mozilla deliver notifications to your phone, depending on your phone and browser. A notification is locked so that only your phone can read it, and it never carries the message itself: only who and what kind, for example "Omar: left you a voice message".
No other company gets your data. If we ever add a feature that needs another company, we will add it here before it is switched on.
How long we keep it
- What you share stays until the person who shared it deletes it, or the house is deleted.
- Videos shared in the family room are deleted for good 24 hours after they were sent.
- Problem reports stay until your house's admin deletes them.
- When the admin deletes the house, everything in it is deleted 24 hours later (the admin can stop it until then), and it leaves the backups within 14 days.
- To stop anybody from guessing invitation or recovery codes, the server remembers your internet address for one hour, in its memory only.
On your phone
WeSpace keeps your sign-in and a few settings, such as sounds and game levels, in your phone's own storage. It uses no cookies and no advertising ID. It uses the camera, microphone, photos and notifications only when you use something that needs them, and only if you allow it.
Children
Families use WeSpace with their children. The adult who sets up a house confirms that they are responsible for the children in it, and decides who is in the house and whom the neighbours can see. There are no ads and no public profiles, and nothing is shown to strangers.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your personal data, to get a copy of it, to limit what we do with it, or to stop using it. Your house's admin can also delete the house (You → Delete our house). For a copy of everything in your house, write to us. Write to sales@jagtek.pl; we answer within one month. You can also complain to the Polish data protection authority: Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa (uodo.gov.pl).
Changes
We update this page when WeSpace changes; the date at the top shows when it last changed.
